  • What is Apostille & why is it needed?
    An Apostille is a Certification that verifies the authenticity of a public document's signature, seal & the official who issued it. Apostille allows a document issued in one country to be recognized as valid in another country that participates in the 1961 Hague Convention. In the United States, the Secretary of State for the state where the document was issued provides Apostilles. If you need to use a public document, such as a birth certificate, marriage license, divorce decree or death record overseas, you will likely need an Apostille. Other common documents requiring Apostille include - Affidavits Agreements Articles of incorporation Company bylaws Deeds of assignment Educational Diplomas Home study Income verification Letters of Recommendation Powers of attorney Transcripts
  • Are you a Certified Loan Signing Agent & do you provide Real Estate Loan Signing services?
    Yes! We are a Certified Loan Signing Agent (Notary Signing Agent) through the National Notary Association & we happily provide Real Estate Loan Signing services!
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    For your convenience, we are happy to accept all major credit cards & debit cards (VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER, DINERS CLUB, JCB, MAESTRO etc.), Cash, PAYPAL & Apple Pay.
  • How do I schedule a Notary or Apostille appointment?
    Simple! You can schedule directly online via our website for the Notary or Apostille service that you prefer, or feel free to give us a call or send us an email! Whichever way you choose, the process is quick & easy!
  • What services does Salish Signatures LLC provide?
    We offer a variety of services, specializing in affordable & convenient Notary & Apostille services for your legal, personal & professional documents - Document Notarization, Commercial & Residential Loan Closings, Apostille & much more!
  • Are you able to Notarize documents from other States &/or International documents?
    Yes - we are able to Notarize your documents that are from all 50 States - we can do so via Mobile Notary Services from anywhere we both are in WA & via our Remote Online Notary Services anywhere you are in the world! For International documents, please contact us to provide specific information for our review before booking your appointment!
  • How long does a Notary appointment take?
    Most appointments are very quick, especially if you just need a single document notarized - no longer than 15-20 minutes! If you have multiple documents or more complex document packages, such as Estate Planning or Real Estate Loans, the appointment times generally average 45-60 minutes!
  • What information do I need to provide for a Notary appointment?
    You will need to provide or know the following for all Notary appointments: * The Document you need notarized. * The type of Notary Certificate required for your Document (if you are unsure, please check with your requesting party, lender or attorney prior to our appointment! * A valid, unexpired USA issued Photo ID - Driver's License, State ID Card or Passport. * Any other person(s) who may need to sign your Document - please ensure they bring proper ID. * Any witnesses you may need for your Document - please ensure they bring proper ID. If your Document requires a witness but you do not have one available, please let us know & we'll happily make arrangements to provide one for you.
  • What is Mobile Notary Service?
    Mobile Notary Service is a convenience that we offer to all our clients to make having your documents notarized as easy as possible for you. We travel to you at an appointment date, time & location that works best for you. Although not required by WA Law, we do charge a Travel Fee of $60.00 (for the first 50 miles of our travel) to cover our cost & mileage for offering this convenience to our valued clients for all Mobile Notary appointments. Alternatively, we also offer Remote Online Notary Service which offers the same validity as in-person notary services!
  • What is a Notary?
    A Notary, also known as a Notary Public, is an individual licensed by State Government to act as an impartial witness to the signing of your important documents. Notaries are also authorized to perform other duties, such as administering oaths, taking depositions, and certifying copies of your documents.
  • What is Remote Online Notary Service?
    Remote Online Notary service is essentially the same service as in-person notary service - the difference is that everything is done via the internet & you can be anywhere! We use an approved Online Platform to verify your identity, review your documents & provide the requested notarial certificate with our Signature & Seal. Remote Online Notary services works well for most all documents that you need notarized & provides the same validity as in-person notary services!
